The race did not in fact kill me . . .
AND
I ran the entire thing (as in absolutely zero walking) I'm not pretending like I set any records, but I did finish.
I know, I know, it was only a half marathon and not a full.
However, given that less than two weeks before the race I thought I may have some rare jungle virus AND given that four days before the race a physical therapist told me that the ridiculous pain I was experiencing was actually me tearing my IT band with each step I took . . . and could not do any high impact workouts/run for 6 weeks if I did the race----
I'd say finishing without walking pretty much equals GOLD MEDAL! (I was going to say, "Winning!"-- but Charlie Sheen is so February 2011).
